My youngest "baby", Gracie, went to Israel on June 29 with a 200-student trip sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Metro Detroit. She was supposed to stay through August 1. What happened? BOMBS, that's what!
The trip rushed home last week. She was a media celebrity for a few days: on WJR's Paul W Smith show live (www.wjr.com) on Thursday, featured in The Detroit News (www.detnews.com) the same day, and on the NBC-affiliate news on Friday (www.wdiv.com). What a whirlwind! She so does not want to be home.
